Summary
Queer Nature: A Writing Workshop with Elliot Pecora
6/29 - 12:30 PM - ACW - $10 Suggested donation
In this workshop–informed by Queer Nature: A Poetry Anthology (Autumn House, 2022)–students will interact hands-on with a variety of poems. This includes collaging, remixing, and creating black-out poetry while discussing the varied relationship between queerness and the natural world. In this collaborative space, we'll include time to free-write and share out work, asking questions of both ourselves and others.
Elliot Pecora (he/him/his) is a transmasculine poet, writer, and undergraduate college student from Geneseo, New York. His work centers around the rural trans experience, religion, and, more generally, navigating the world in a trans body. He is currently leading a series of workshops centered around transpoetics as a part of SUNY Geneseo’s Keith ‘11 and Joanna ‘13 Walters Artist-in-Residence Ambassadorship. His first chapbook, Mothblood, is available online.
