Meet Elizabeth Izzo, managing editor of the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the only daily newspaper published in the North Country. Izzo recently earned a 2022 New York News Publishers Association award for Distinguished Editorial writing. Four of her 2022 editorials were selected, and the judges called her work "Clear, persuasive, smart" and "full of workable remedies". She has been with the paper since 2019. Izzo will speak about the craft of writing a strong, pointed editorial, as well as the importance of local newspapers in an era of information saturation, fake news, and a polarized populace.
